How To Care For Your Relax Mat
The Muscle Mat Relax Mat is perfect for making any room feel comfortable and luxurious. Kids love playing and rolling around on it, and adults love the soft, plush feel of it under their feet.Â
To get the best experience from your Relax Mat, please follow the care instructions as detailed below:

Opening Instructions

When you first receive your Relax Mat, it will be packaged tightly to help speed up postage and handling times. When you open it, it will have creases, bumps and be compressed. Don’t fret - this is normal!Â

First, take your mat out and lie it as flat as you can on the floor. Then let it sit for about an hour. After this, we recommend steaming or ironing it. If steaming it, use a steamer that is suitable for soft materials such as a clothes steamer. If ironing it, place settings on low heat, and high steam. Make sure to make sure your iron is not too hot as this may damage the mat. Test on a small, inconspicuous area first.

If your iron does not have high steam settings, you can place a damp (not wet), clean, colourfast tea towel in between the iron and the Relax Mat. This helps generate steam.Â

After you have completed the steaming/ironing, your Relax Mat should be ready to use! Don't worry if it's a little smaller than it's meant to be, it will continue to fully expand and puff up for the next 7-14 days, so you will see the final result around this time.
Ongoing Care
We understand life can get messy! Our Relax Mats are stain resistant and easy to clean.Â
When there are dry spills such as crumbs, a quick vacuum will do. If the spill is more damp or sticky, you can use wet-wipes or a damp cloth to simply wipe away. We have tested many different types of spills. To see a video of some of the stains we have tested, check out our Instagram video here.

For easy regular cleaning, we recommend sprinkling baking soda all over your mat, leaving for 10 minutes, then vacuuming it. This will help keep your Relax Mat fresh and clean. You can also buy carpet powders, and even ones specially designed for pet odours. Each brand is different so make sure to follow the manufacturer's instructions.

Another tip is leaving your Relax Mat out in the sun. Did you know that UV rays can kill bacteria that cause bad odours? Leaving your Relax Mat out in the sun on your balcony or porch (don’t put it on grass or soil) for a day can help freshen it up. The sun combined with a fresh breeze can be great for freshening up all kinds of odours. Don’t leave it out for more than a day at a time, and make sure it’s not going to rain!Â

We are obsessed with this mat! Our little one started crawling recently and we wanted a safe mat for him to explore on without having to worry. It’s super soft and comfortable and looks exactly as shown in the photos. It came in vacuum sealed bag but when we opened and unfolded it, the mat was perfect. No creases or weird folds. I could literally fall asleep on this mat. Highly highly recommend! My only wish is that they sold larger sizes because I would love to get another for a bigger room.
Purchased this for my 4 month old as we moved to a house with no carpet. It is super plush, and both my husband and I as well as both grandmas love laying on it! We originally purchased for baby but have found ourselves sitting/laying on it even when he is in bed! Very pretty too - looks like a regular rug aside from the plushness

We are so happy with our purchase. I wish I would have had one as soon as our daughter was born instead of waiting until she was crawling. We love the comfort of it and spend so much more time on the floor now. The only thing I would note is that the beige color is more of a very light pink in person.

This is the 3rd one we’ve bought, we have a little morkie who loves jumping off the bed and couch and so we’re trying to minimize her impact on her little legs by giving her a softer landing, my daughter walked across it and said dad this is like walking on a cloud, this weekend family was over and wanted to know where I got this not just for their little dog but they loved sitting on it themselves, I sent them the link. Great product, might need some tape if you put it on a smooth tile floor like I did, when the little one starts zooming the mat will move 2’.
This mat is amazing! It’s so beautiful and so cushy. It’s perfect for playing with our infant son. We have his play gym and other things on it and this mat makes it easy for us to get down on the floor and play with him since he’s not mobile yet. It’s amazing and I would buy it again and again. I hope they come out with more designs in the future!

We love it! The rug is Super thick! It’s super cute! He climbs on everything and now there isn’t a worry that he will hit his head on the hardwood floor. He just rolls onto the thick mat. It cleans easily too. All the adults love it!! Perfect place to hang out on the floor. I want them all over my house.

We absolutely LOVE our new mat. After laying it down, my 1 year old and I laid on it and couldn’t stop making mat angels (snow angels lol) it’s so soft and comfortable. My 1 year just started walking but still tumbles, so the extra cushion is a life saver. She also usually likes to take her naps in a dark room, but she has fallen asleep on the mat a couple times now. That’s how comfy it is. Definitely recommend!
